Twelve corporate partners, five of whom are making their initial appearance at a CoSIDA Convention, will be serving as hosts of the awards luncheons during the Convention, which will be held June 21—25 at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.
“The luncheons afford CoSIDA the opportunity to recognize the best of our outstanding profession,” said 2008-09 CoSIDA President Nick Joos. “We are grateful for the generous financial support of our corporate partners who provide the financial resources to help make these luncheons a success.”
Tuesday’s Kickoff Luncheon, which is scheduled from Noon until 1:30 p.m., will open the Convention’s luncheon schedule. The keynote speaker is Kevin Sullivan, who worked his way up from a sports information student assistant as an undergraduate at Purdue University to Assistant to the President for Communications in the White House.
The final luncheon of the Convention will be held on Thursday from Noon to 1:30 p.m., and nine SIDs will receive the ultimate honor from CoSIDA by being inducted into the Hall of Fame. FOX Sports Interactive Media (
www.msn.foxsports.com) will be making its first appearance as a corporate partner and will serve as the Hall of Fame Luncheon’s official sponsor. Also serving as a sponsor will be the National Football League (
http://www.nfl.com).
We encourage all CoSIDA members, whether they are attending the Convention or not, to send letters of thanks to our corporate partners. Without their continued support, it would be impossible to sponsor luncheons of the magnitude we have. Their email addresses are College ESPN (Josh Krulewitz -
