ATLANTA- At the NCAA Convention, the Division I Legislative Council voted to send several proposals to the membership for further comment, including two key proposals which will directly effect the production and distribution of collegiate athletic media guides. The discussion will take place in April and, if passed, will have significant impact for athletic communicators.

The two media guide legislative proposals (No. 2009-41, which would eliminate printed media guides, with the exception being game programs and 2009-42, which would prohibit the distribution of media guides to recruits) have been sent to the NCAA membership for further comment.

They will be considered again in April by the council and the Division I Board of Directors.
