ASAP Sports, the leader in instant FastScripts transcripts for the sports world, reveals this month its newly revamped company website (
www.asapsports.com). The newly designed site, originally created as a tool for journalists to access all FastScripts transcripts ASAP Sports has produced since the company's inception in 1978, is now even easer for journalists to navigate and locate current and historic FastScripts.
"Our main goal is to have a website archiving all FasstScripts we have ever done, but free from clutter, free from advertising and simple to locate specific quotes.” says company president Peter Balestrieri. “In this world of instant access, media don't have time to sift through layers of unnecessary clutter. We believe the new site is now even easier for media to navigate and find exactly what they need, even more quickly than our original website,” he believes.
The new site,
www.asapsports.com, also boasts a keyword search feature, which scans the archives for a particular name, team, or combination of words. Want to know what a particular player said word-for-word at an event? The site's web search feature will list each ASAP FastScript that the combination has ever appeared in, just by typing in a couple of key words.
Different from the site’s older version, the new website houses a "products" section which list the various products that ASAP Sports offers: WebScripts™: live real-time text display on your website, private monitors and computers of your post-game press conferences, similar to streaming closed captioning; ASAPsports.MOBI , which is the cpmpany's mobile website for FastScripts on the go, accessible via iPhones, BlackBerrys, PDAs, and the internet, so that wherever a journalist is, he can always get the FastScript he needs with instant access and full views of FastScripts; and finally,an RSS Feed, which allow FastScripts to come direct to journalists in real time rather than a journalist going to the site.
Of course, a full description of instantly delivered FastScripts appears in this "products" section as well.
Soon to come, the new site will feature a section listing company principals, complete with background, title, photo and area of expertise.
A list of clients and events can also be found on the site. "We want our clients to know that we serve virtually every sports event in the world, from college and professional basketball and football, to ice hockey, baseball, soccer, tennis and lacrosse -- and many more," Balestrieri concludes. “The uncluttered site gives a good snapshot of who we are and what we do, while still serving the No. 1 need we were designed for -- helping media get the transcripts they need instantly. Clients also access our transcripts for their internal needs, and we are pleased we can help with this additional use,” Balestrieri concludes.
