Apply now for the College Fanz Mobile Broadcast Unit On Campus (MBU) program

Last week, College Fanz(TM) Sports Network, the world's largest online college sports community launched by ESPN founder Bill Rasmussen, announced plans to televise 500 college football and 1,500 basketball games live in 2010-2011.

To assist in that endeavor, 30 campuses will be selected to host a Mobile Broadcast Unit (MBU) for the 2010-2011 season. Each four-year college and university with an NCAA or NAIA athletic program and a supportive, robust campus Media Department is invited to apply to be included in the new College Fanz Mobile Broadcast Unit on Campus Program
.

Applications are now being accepted online at http://www.CollegeFanz.com/mbuapply.jspa .

"The College Fanz Mobile Broadcast Unit on Campus Program will provide an unprecedented educational and professional opportunity for college students planning to work in the burgeoning sports industry," Rasmussen explained. ""We are building upon the solid foundation established this year with the inaugural season of our College Fanz 2009-2010 NAIA Football and NAIA Basketball Game of the Week broadcasts."

"The dedication of the teams and the enthusiasm of the fans I saw on campuses across the country were absolutely electric. This nationwide reaction led us to expand the universe of events that can be viewed live by the students, fans and alumni of hundreds of colleges and universities," Rasmussen concluded.

In the MBU Program, College Fanz provides the fully-equipped MBU, training and support for each on campus program. Each campus team will be trained on the operation of the vehicle and equipment, the industry standards as well as the College Fanz standards for broadcasting games and other events.

Each Campus Team operates independent of College Fanz with a faculty adviser who manages, coordinates and reviews their Campus Team. Your staff member works with College Fanz to coordinate the scheduling of events and broadcasts, maintain standards and resolve issues that arise.
