April 20 deadline: CoSIDA Post-Graduate Scholarship Nominations

The nomination period for the 2010-11 CoSIDA Post-Graduate Scholarship Program is TUESDAY, APRIL 20. There are two Post-Graduate Scholarships - a $5,000 Wylie Smith Scholarship and a $5,000 CoSIDA Scholarship - which are designed to assist outstanding students in sports information offices who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in collegiate sports information. Wylie Smith is a former CoSIDA Scholarships Committee chairman and long-time Sports Information Director at Northern Arizona University.

April 20: ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America® Baseball & Softball Nominations Due
CoSIDA Members:
A reminder that the nomination deadline for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® baseball and softball teams is 6 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Tuesday, April 20.
All nominations for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® program must be done online through the CoSIDA Web site. Nominations will be accepted only from current CoSIDA members.
To nominate student-athlete(s) for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® program, visit the Academic All-America® web page HERE: http://www.cosida.com/aa and log in with your CoSIDA user name and password.
If you do not have your user name and profile, click the link next to "Forget your login information?" and your user information will be sent to the e-mail address that appears in the CoSIDA directory.
REQUIREMENTS: In baseball and softball, position players must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games in the position listed on the nomination form. Pitchers must have at least 10.0 innings pitched.
Completing most of the rest of the nomination form is a matter of choosing the sport and position and filling in the blanks. There is a data field for additional supporting nomination which is limited to 500 characters. This data can be copied and pasted from other applications.
When finished with the nomination form, hit "submit" and the system will e-mail a receipt for the nomination. Make sure to save this confirmation e-mail, as it contains a unique ID number which will assist in troubleshooting if necessary.
