The
2010 CoSIDA Convention began with day one activities on Sunday, July 4.
Day one focused on an Exhibitors Welcome reception, divisional meetings, "CoSIDA Cares" Community Service donations and Fourth of July celebrations.
Divisional groups were welcomed to the Convention by CoSIDA President Justin Doherty (University of Wisconsin), 1st VP Larry Dougherty (Temple), CoSIDA Executive Director John Humenik and Barb Kowal, Director of External Affairs, who welcomed the attendees and spoke about divisional matters and priorities, CoSIDA's strategic initiatives and successes for 2009-10, Convention programming and future plans and direction for the organization.
The theme of the day was the momentum of CoSIDA with its new strategic branding and messaging campaign; membership engagement; professional development, and opportunities for leadership at the divisional management an

d committee and Board levels.
Monday's programming is entitled "Best Practices and Solutions Day" with a writing for the web two-hour seminar, tables topics and credentialing issues among the topics to be discussed.
