Re: Academic All-America® Hall of Fame nominations

It is time to begin the nomination process for the 2011 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Hall of Fame Induction set to take place in Marco Island, Florida in June 2011 during the CoSDIA Convention. The nominations will be done on-line again this year.

You will have access to the nomination form beginning Wednesday, September 1st until Monday, November 1st. You can start a nomination, save it and open it again to fill in any information, a feature available only on the Academic
All-America® Hall of Fame nomination.

You will need your CoSIDA login and password to access the system as with the Academic All-America® program. You can submit all of your nominations in the on-line form available at
http://www.cosida.com/Awards/allamerica.aspx.

Once you are in Academic All-America® Hall of Fame system, you will have two options.

First - to make a new nomination. Second - to work on previously submitted nominations. In the second section, if you nominated a student-athlete for the 2009 and/or 2010 Academic All-America® Hall of Fame, that nomination is available for you to update. Once a former student-athlete is nominated for the Academic All-America® Hall of Fame, their nomination will remain in the system.

Also, the Academic All-America Committee is looking for "Honorary Inductee" nominations. An Honorary Inductee is a person who, or an organization which, has made a significant contribution to the Academic All-America Committee, Teams or Hall of Fame. The honorary designation may be awarded to a former scholar-athlete whose collegiate career pre-dated the Academic All-America program in his/her particular sport. The eligible candidates' academic and athletic achievements must meet minimum criteria for selection to the Hall of Fame.
