CoSIDA is pleased to present live streaming of the 2011 Capital One Hall of Fame Gala on

Tuesday night, June 28 from the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort in Marco Island, Florida - site of the 2011 CoSIDA Convention. The Capital One Hall of Fame Gala begins at 5:45 p.m. (Eastern). It is scheduled to run through 8:15 p.m.

The Gala, in its second year, is a dinner and induction ceremony open to all CoSIDA Convention attendees where the
2011 Capital One Academic All-America® Hall of Fame class will be enshrined along with the newest class of the
CoSIDA Hall of Fame. Five will be inducted into the CoSIDA Hall of Fame, five will be enshrined into the Capital One Academic All-America Hall of Fame.

Two other awards will be given: the Lester Jordan Award (for outstanding contributions to the Capital One Academic All-America® program) and the Dick Enberg Award will be given to Olympic gold medalist and track and field icon
Jackie Joyner-Kersee for actions and commitment which have furthered the meaning and reach of the Capital One Academic All-America® Teams Program and student-athletes while promoting the values of education.

Serving as Capital One Hall of Fame Gala master of ceremonies for the evening will be ESPN broadcaster
Rece Davis who serves as primary studio host for ESPN and ESPN2’s coverage of college football and college basketball.
Peter Metzelaars (Wabash College), Dr. Carol Lally Shields (University of Notre Dame), Dr. Randal Pinkett (Rutgers University), Dr. Julie Bremner Romias (UCLA) and Dr. Megan Neyer (University of Florida) will be inducted into the Capital One Academic All-America® Hall of Fame.

Mark Beckenbach (Ohio Wesleyan),
Charles Bloom (SEC),
Rich Herman (Clarion University),
Dan McDonald (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) and
Paul Madison (Western Washington).
Kevin Ruple (Baldwin-Wallace College) will receive the Lester Jordan Award.
