Background

• This reporting cycle represents the seventh year that Academic Success Rate (ASR) data have been collected for Division II institutions.

• The federal graduation rate includes only first-time, full-time fall freshmen. For student-athlete rates, it includes only those receiving athletics aid in their freshman year.

• The Division II ASR includes transfers into an institution in the calculation of the rate, but removes from the cohort students who leave the institution while academically eligible to compete.

• Additionally, the ASR includes all non-scholarship freshman student-athletes on the roster on the first date of competition.
