The NCAA Championships and Alliances staff has published the second monthly NCAA Media Coordination and Statistics Newsletter.
The newsletter was developed at the request of – and in conjunction with – the NCAA Championships and Media Coordination Advisory Board, which is comprised of CoSIDA members from all three NCAA divisions along with NCAA staff.
The newsletter is e-mailed the first Wednesday of each month and contain timely information regarding NCAA championships and statistics.
The November newsletter is below.
Check here to see the October newsletter.
“From its inception earlier this year, the advisory board advocated for a ‘one-stop shop’ for NCAA championships and statistics information,” said Mark Bedics, NCAA Associate Director of Championships and Alliances. “The information in the newsletter is geared specifically to SIDs across all divisions and provides details and links that will assist SIDs as they file statistics reports and prepare for national championships.”
CoSIDA members of the advisory board include Mary Howard (Florida), Todd Lamb (Southland Conference) and Jim McGrath (Butler) from Division I; Chad Jackson (Armstrong Atlantic State), Dennis Jezek (Barry) and Tom McGuire (Bloomsburg) from Division II; and Mark Adkins (Manchester), Ann King (Sage Colleges) and Kennan Timm (Wisconsin-Oshkosh) from Division III. Will Roleson, CoSIDA’s Director of Internal Operations/Treasurer, serves as chair of the board.
The listserv was compiled from SID e-mail addresses that have been entered into the NCAA’s sport schedule web site. If you did not receive the November edition and would like to be added to the newsletter blast list, contact Bedics at mbedics@ncaa.org.

NCAA FTP site
The NCAA has developed a website to retain key information from every Division I, Division II and Division III conference and institution which may participate in an NCAA Championship. The NCAA and partners (i.e. Turner/CBS, ESPN, IMG College, Big Screen Network Productions, etc.) are required to use the site to access all logos, fight songs, rosters, photos of student-athletes, teams, coaches, administrators and campus for use on selection shows, game programs, banquet videos and video boards at NCAA championships. For this site to be completely effective, it requires full cooperation from participating institutions.
Please log on to www.ncaachampionship.info (username: ncaaschools; password: ncaaftp) to upload the appropriate information for your institution or conference. If the selections have not occurred and you feel your institution’s team has a legitimate chance of qualifying for the championship please upload a roster and team photo ASAP. If you are hosting a site and would like access to the FTP site for elements for a videoboard, please contact Hamardo Sinclair at hsinclair@ncaa.org for the appropriate password.
