Cindy (Fotti) Potter, the Associate Director of Athletics for Media Relations and Compliance at her alma mater, NAIA's Columbia College (Mo.), will be inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame on October 5. Fotti, who is serving her second year of a three-year term on CoSIDA's Board of Directors, was a standout softball scholar-athlete at Columbia, earning NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete, All-Conference, All-Region and National Tournament All-Tournament Team honors.
Potter previously earned the CoSIDA College Division "Rising Star Award" in 2008. She also serves on the NAIA-SIDA Board and on the CoSIDA College Division Management Advistory Committee (UDMAC). This has been an eventful summer for Cindy, who married Cory Potter on July 15.

COLUMBIA, Mo., Sept. 4, 2012 - Columbia College alumni Kory Thoma and
Cindy (Fotti) Potter will be inducted into the Columbia College Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 5 at the 10th annual dinner and induction ceremony to be held in the Banquet Room in Dulany Hall.
Speakers for the event will include Columbia College President, Gerald T. Brouder and Director of Athletics, Bob Burchard.
Kory Thoma ’97 will be acknowledged for his accomplishments on the basketball court. Thoma’s accomplishments include being named a NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete, receiving the Thomas Roberts Award and winning the Athletic Director’s Award. Thoma also was named Male Athlete of the Year. Thoma went on the graduate cum laude from the UMSL-School of Optometry with a doctorate in optometry. Thoma is currently the owner of Leet EyeCare in Cape Girardeau, where his family resides.
Cindy Fotti Potter ’05 will be recognized for her contributions to the Columbia College softball team. During her two years as a member of the team, Fotti was named captain of the softball squad. She was named All-American Scholar Athlete and also made the All-Region and National Tournament All-Tournament Team. Fotti has served in various capacities in the Athletics department including sports information director, coach of the Cougar softball team and currently serves as the assistant director of athletics and is responsible for media relations and compliance.
The celebration will include a social hour beginning at 6:15 in the Banquet Room in Dulany Hall, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the induction ceremony at 7:45 p.m.
