Note from the NCAA Media Coordination & Statistics Staff:
This newsletter is put together by the NCAA national office media coordination and statistics staff specifically for SIDs. This will continue to come out the first week of each month. If you have any comments or anything you would like to see in the future, please contact Mark Bedics (mbedics@ncaa.org). New Staff Members

We would like to make all of you aware of two new additions to the Media Coordination and Statistics group - Matt Holmes and Phil Pierce.

Matt Holmes has been the Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations at the University of Indianapolis for the last three years. He has also worked on the sports information staffs at Western Michigan and Western Illinois. Matt graduated from UIndy in 2002 and in addition to his duties on campus; he has served on the Division II Men’s Tennis Midwest Regional Advisory Committee.

Phil Pierce has worked at the University of Arkansas since 1996, most recently as Associate Media Relations Director. Phil is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio and also worked as an intern with the Ohio Athletic Conference. He has been an active member of CoSIDA serving for the last 10 years as a member of the Academic All-America® Committee. During his time at Arkansas, Phil served as the host media coordinator for a number of NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
