The 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA’s Academic All-America teams programs since 2011.
The Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. This is the fourth year of the expanded Academic All-America® program as CoSIDA moved from recognizing a University Division (Division I) and a College Division (all non-Division I) and has doubled the number of scholar-athletes honored. The expanded teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants, while the College Division Academic All-America ® Team combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.
The Capital One Division II and III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2014-15 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams program.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced in early June (June 8: College teams; June 9: Division III; June 10: Division II; June 11: Division I).
NOTE: SIDs with First Team honorees
You will be getting an email and a link to update the bios of your first team honorees for the national ballot.
The deadline to update these bios is MONDAY, MAY 18 at 12 noon EASTERN.
To update your nominations, log in to:
http://forms.cosida.com/aa/login.aspx with your CoSIDA user name and password.
Once you have logged in, if you have a first-team all-district selection in the current program, there will be an option to "Update Statistics for a District Winner." Click on that and you can access the statistics and data fields (the 500-character limit still applies, though).
The deadline for updating your nominations is noon, Eastern Time, on Monday, May 18. Since we are on an extremely tight timetable, we cannot extend this deadline, as the voting period for the national ballot begins on Tuesday, May 19.
Please check to make sure that your student-athlete's name, major(s) and hometown are listed correctly. If incorrect information is not corrected prior to the national team announcement, your institution will be responsible for the cost of reproducing a corrected award.
