A Look Back: CoSIDA at the ECAC Hall of Fame Ceremony

CoSIDA president Eric McDowell (Union, N.Y.) and Board of Directors member Ira Thor (New Jersey City University) represented the organization at induction
ceremonies for the inaugural class of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Hall of Fame.

The 25-person class spanned over the entire 75-year history of the ECAC, and recognized a diverse representation of former student-athletes, coaches, administrators, teams, officials, support staff, and supporters from across decades.

The class was inducted on April 17 at the ECAC Hall of Fame Gala and Induction Ceremony, held at the Matrix Conference & Banquet Center in Danbury, Conn. See the full class of inductees HERE.

Honorees for the first class were selected for outstanding achievements, service, dedication, commitment, and contributions to the ECAC, championships, sponsored sports, programs, and events.

"The Eastern College Athletic Conference has an amazing 75-plus years of history of serving student-athletes," noted McDowell. "Thanks to the tremendous work of Dr. Kevin McGinniss and his staff, that
history came to life at the inaugural ECAC Hall of Fame event. It was an honor to join Ira representing CoSIDA. The evening was remarkable with all the esteemed, legendary inductees who
have produced memories in the playing arena as well as memories of outstanding service, not only for the student-athletes, but also for members of our profession."
