• Allen spoke on crisis communications scenario and response surrounding the Mankato football program a few

years ago, involving accusations against the head coach, his subsequent firing and his re-hiring with the next two years;
• Blascovich discussed his experience publicizing and working with a transgender student-athlete;
• Teuscher was moderator and also spoke about building a crisis communications plan following the death of a student-athlete and the aftermath of that crisis situation;
• Stromeier, who received questions from the membership for this call, spoke about
reconciling personal feelings about these crisis or unusual issues with the requirements of your job; recognizing how additional short-term stressors manifest themselves and preventing them from becoming long-term problems; how to go about interviewing or otherwise interacting with individuals who have become the subject of a prominent news story when they would rather not be in the spotlight.
