The two-day event will be staged at Providence Park, home of the Portland MLS soccer team, Tuesday-Wednesday, Aug.
2-3 and will feature a variety of recognized speakers and presentations on crisis communications, strategic communications and working with the media.
Day one of the event will offer presentations that include: Handling a Media Crisis, Navigating a Social Media Crisis, Gaining the Student-Athlete's Perspective on Communications, Crisis PR from the President's Office Perspective, Insights into the Communications Playbook of a Journalist and Crisis Communication from the SID's Perspective.

Day two of the Communication Forum will offer hands-on training with attendees being divided into teams to offer solutions to a media crisis in a mock press conference format.
CoSIDA is partnering with Berger, founder/CEO of the Sports PR Summit, in hosting the new two-day educational workshop. Cost to attend the CoSIDA Communications Forum is $299.
