The 2016 CoSIDA Convention is in full swing at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. The four-day event began on Sunday, June 12 with registration, general programming, and SIDEARM Sports Leadership Forum on strategic communications for senior-level athletic communicators or those who aspire to become one. The two social events were a Kickoff Reception in the Exhibit Hall and an ESPN at the Ranch party, held at Eddie Deen's Ranch in Downtown Dallas.
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR MONDAY, JUNE 13
• Monday is "Divisional Day" at the convention, where division-specific sessions and breakouts take place for Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, conference office, two-year and Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) members.
• The 2016 Special Awards luncheon will be highlighted by the induction of the 2016 CoSIDA Hall of Fame Class and recognition of Lifetime Achievement Award winners. Luncheon emcee is Maria Taylor, ESPN sports reporter.
• The Academic All-America Hall of Fame induction celebration takes place from 5:30-7 p.m. in Grand Ballroom A-C, with ESPN's Rece Davis serving as emcee and legendary Dick Enberg as a special guest. The CBS StatCrew party takes place immediately following the AAA Hall of Fame induction.
