Volunteering for CoSIDA Just Got Easier
The one thing you can count on is CoSIDA members always step up and volunteer for many of the association’s tasks. From leadership roles and committee service to convention programming and the annual community service project, our professionals take their volunteering seriously.
Beginning today, a new tool on CoSIDA Connect will make it easier for members to learn about various opportunities and sign up for them. The addition of the Volunteer Manager module to Connect provides a home for all things volunteer.
By selecting “Volunteer” from the drop-down menu under “Participate” on the home page of CoSIDA Connect, members will be taken to a
volunteer home page. Here, you’ll be able to browse open opportunities, opt into the volunteer pool (which means immediate notice of new opportunities) and update a volunteer profile (which allows you to tailor your specific volunteer skills and interests) if you desire.
Currently, there are two opportunities available — a call for
CoSIDA Connect ambassadors to help promote the online community; and a call for
CoSIDA Connect bloggers. The application process for each is quick and easy. Once you complete that step, a member of the CoSIDA staff will follow up to discuss the opportunity.
In the near future, there will be opportunities to volunteer to host After Hours regional social functions, to become part of a committee, to lead a panel at the convention, to write for CoSIDA 360 and many more.
As we get feedback from you, the number and diversity of opportunities will increase. Like all new processes, this one may have some hiccups at first. Please let
Laurie Bollig (
lauriebollig@cosida.com) know about your experience with the volunteer process. All feedback is appreciated.
Happy volunteering!
