CoSIDA Academic All-America® Program

CoSIDA Academic All-District® Men's/Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams Released
The 2016-17 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams have been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

The Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the documents linked above and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. This is the sixth year of the expanded Academic All-America® program as CoSIDA moved from recognizing a University Division (Division I) and a College Division (all non-Division I) and has doubled the number of scholar-athletes honored. The expanded teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants, while the College Division Academic All-America® Team combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.

The Division II and III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2016-17 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams program.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America® honorees will be selected next month.

Update Bios of Your First Team Honorees: Deadline Tuesday, May 30 at 9 p.m. (ET)
CoSIDA members with student-athletes on the FIRST TEAM Academic All-District® team now should log back in to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Web site to update their nominees' statistics and supporting data for inclusion on the Academic All-America® ballot.

To update your nominations, log in to http://forms.cosida.com/aa/login.aspx with your CoSIDA user name and password. If you don't have your user name and password, click the link next to Forget your login information? and your user name and password will be sent to the e-mail address that appears in the CoSIDA directory.

Once you're logged in, if you have an Academic All-District® selection in the current program, there will be an option to Update Statistics for a District Winner. Click on that and you can access the statistics and data fields (the 500-character limit still applies, though).

The deadline for updating your nominations is 9 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, May 30. Since we are on an extremely tight timetable, we cannot extend this deadline, as the voting period for the national ballot begins on Wednesday, May 31.

Please check to make sure that your student-athlete's name, major(s) and hometown are listed correctly. If incorrect information is not corrected prior to the national team announcement, your institution will be responsible for the cost of reproducing a corrected award.
