CoSIDA members and friends of CoSIDA:
This week, we did a soft launch of our new all-inclusive CoSIDA Facebook page at
Facebook.com/CoSIDAnews. In discussion with the CoSIDA Board of Directors, we decided that our strategic communications and social media plan would be to have one all-encompassing CoSIDA Facebook page where we invite general members and committee members to participate. With this in mind, we will not have individual Facebook pages for our CoSIDA committees or sub-groups.
The decision was based on the need for consistency in branding, information sharing and messaging. We will keep the well-established CoSIDA Academic All-America® page (
http://www.facebook.com/aaacosida) and will be cross-promoting on both these Facebook sites.
We’ve created a one week worth of content and have published the first posts, and are preparing a content schedule as we do for all our communications platforms. We also are working on getting the page verified as a business account.
The community managers of the CoSIDA Facebook page are Barb Kowal, CoSIDA Director of Professional Development and External Affairs (
barbkowal@cosida.com) and Beau White, CoSIDA Director of Creative Services (
