A special thanks goes out to our 800-plus association members who have registered through day one of the 2017 CoSIDA Convention.

Wondering what happened at #CoSIDA17 on the first day of the June convention?
If not in Orlando, are you wondering what you missed at #CoSIDA2017? We've posted all of the highlights from the convention’s first day of sessions, meetings, networking and social events.
The CoSIDA members has gathered in Orlando to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the organization. The annual conference, held in conjunction with the NACDA and Affiliates Convention week, is a perfect place to network, share ideas, and hear from communications industry leaders, while exploring all that the Orlando area has to offer.

Sunday, the first day of #CoSIDA17 convention programming, was a day of mentorship opportunities, sessions focusing on professional development (job/career-centered programming, career decision-making strategies, step-up skills for non-managers), and the second annual SIDEARM Sports Leadership Forum presented by Learfield.

For the second year, The SIDEARM Leadership Forum day-long specialized programming led off the convention and brought together senior-level administrators in sports communications, athletic directors and executives who have impacted college sports with those CoSIDA members currently in a college sports communications leadership role (as in assistant, associate or deputy athletics director) or those who aspire to be in that position.

Sunday saw a full day of CoSIDA members connecting to colleagues and making the necessary connections with others in leadership roles in schools and conferences.

The day was ended and highlighted by the annual CoSIDA Academic All-America® Hall of Fame ceremony where four former female student-athletes and one retired college chancellor were feted. See more at the Academic All-America® Hall of Fame ceremony story and photo gallery.
