The National Football Foundation (NFF) is proud of its longtime commitment to the scholar-athlete ideal and, since 1959, the NFF has been at the forefront of recognizing excellence both on the gridiron and in the classroom. Through programs like the William V. Campbell Trophy®, the National Scholar-Athlete Awards, Faculty Salutes and the Hampshire Honor Society, the NFF is reaching and recognizing more young men than ever before. We are extremely grateful for the commitment and support that your conference has provided through the years.
As we look ahead to the 2017 season, the NFF would like to expand upon our recognition of the scholar-athlete. In August we will distribute a national press release,
showcasing collegiate football players who will enter the season having already completed their degree requirements. By promoting these special players, the NFF can highlight the breadth of scholastic aptitude in our sport as well as the academic support systems on campuses nationwide.
We would like to recognize as many as young men as possible from across the country, while also making sure their respective conferences and institutions are duly acknowledged. As such, the NFF asks institutions to
email the names of your current graduated players to Hillary Jeffries at hjeffries@footballfoundation.com.
Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to us, and thank you again for your support of the NFF’s programs and initiatives. Football matters.
