Kevin Lanke of Rose-Hulman Honored With School's Collegian Rose Award

Collegian Rose Award

Established in 2017, the Collegian Rose Award honors alumni employees who, through their work, have elevated the institute’s mission, strengthened the bridge between the alumni and campus communities and have proven themselves to be an advocate for lifelong relationships with the institute. All Rose-Hulman employees who are alumni are eligible. Alumni, faculty and staff are allowed and encouraged to submit nominations. 

2017-18 Recipient: Kevin Lanke
A 1997 economics alumnus, Kevin is completing his 20th year as the primary sports information contact for Rose-Hulman, where he is assistant athletic director for sports information and communications. He has earned 28 national publication awards from the College Sports Information Directors of America, including eight Best in the Nation honors and six Best Cover awards. Kevin helped create the institute’s Diversity Center in 2010-11 and was part of the team earning the institute’s Excellence in Service Award for his efforts on the Title IX Equity Resolution Panel. He also serves on the curriculum design team for RHIT’s College and Life Skills course. Among his many recognitions, Kevin received the President’s Outstanding Service Award in 2006 and the Athletic Department’s Jess Lucas Spirit Award in 2004. He currently serves as the vice chairman of operations for the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-American program. He completed a master’s degree in recreation and sports management at Indiana State University in 2010. He and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Terre Haute.
