The NCAA and the USOC both have comprehensive coverage of the college student-athletes and coaches who are participating in the Winter Olympics.
With the assistance of CoSIDA members, the NCAA was able to build a database of current and former student-athletes and current coaches for their
"Paving the Path to Pyeongchang" coverage.
Here is the
database of Student-Athletes at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
That information was shared with the USOC, and they also have produced some impressive contest involving NCAA student-athletes at the Olympics:
- Looking at the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team roster, than one-third of the team competed collegiately and more than 75 percent of the team attended college.More details on Team USA’s collegiate footprint can be found here: www.teamusa.org/studentathlete2018.
- The USOC is sending a daily newsletter, the PyeongChang College Roundup, that will preview competitions and cover Team USA’s collegiate athletes throughout the Games. Here’s a link to the sign-up: www.teamusa.org/pyeongchang-2018/college-round-up.
- Friday, February 9, is the Opening Ceremony and also the USOC's Good Luck, #TeamUSAStudentAthlete day. They encourage schools and organizations to use the hashtag to wish the athletes and @TeamUSA good luck as the Games kick off.
