The following three NAIA Division I and Division II men's and women's basketball scholar-athletes were named as 2018 CoSIDA Academic All-America® honorees this week - and they also have continued their seasons in their respective NAIA national championship tournaments. The NAIA student-athletes earn Academic All-America® honors in the College Division.

We congratulate these Academic All-America® recipients!

The NAIA plays basketball in two divisions. From their Division I competition, senior Jeremy Deemer has helped his Graceland squad advance to the national final four, as Graceland squares off against LSU Shreveport on March 19 in a semifinal matchup. Deemer carries a 3.96 grade point average (GPA) as a business administration/economics major. The other March 19th semifinal pits LSU Alexandria against William Penn.

In NAIA Division II men's and women's competition, Indiana University East's Lucas Hoffman and Concordia (Neb.) sophomore Philly Lammers were the two scholar-athletes who competed in their respective final fours. Hoffman carries a perfect 4.0 GPA as a senior biochemistry major. Lammers was the lone sophomore on the College Division women's AAA team. She is a biology/physics major and also carries a 4.0 GPA.

IU East was a national semifinalist, losing to eventual champion Indiana Wesleyan. Concordia finished second nationally as it was beaten by Dakota Wesleyan (82-59) in the title game.

We also will be spotlighting the Academic All-America® men's and women's basketball honorees from our other three AAA divisions (NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III).
