Stephanie Dutton, the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Assistant Commissioner for Sports Information, is the most recent recipient of the 2018 Division III and D3SIDA Recognition Award. Dutton is the Winter 2018 recipient of the award. The NCAA Division III and D3SIDA recognition award is a partnership between the Division III governance staff and the Division III College Sports Information Directors of America (D3SIDA) to recognize the best work by athletics communication directors portraying the Division III identity and student-athlete experience. The recognition program is part of the Division III Identity Initiative. A panel of D3SIDA members select the recipients.
Dutton, who is in her second year at the conference, worked alongside NEAC SAAC members to create & shoot their impressive "Gameday the DIII Way" Sportsmanship Video found here:
http://bit.ly/2HatHZ9. The NEAC consists of 14 full-member institutions throughout D.C., New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The D3SIDA Recognition Award seeks to honor the best work – including news releases, feature articles, videos, blogs and other materials – produced by Division III campus and conference athletics communication offices. Each top honoree receives a $1,500 credit to attend Division III Day at the annual CoSIDA convention. This year, the 2018 CoSIDA takes place June 27-30 at the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center in National Harbor, Md., with “Divisional Day” for all divisions taking place June 28.
Recent past winners of the D3SIDA honor include Samantha Murray, Stevenson University assistant athletics communications director (
Fall 2017) and Matt Higgins, formerly of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (
Spring 2017).
