THROUGH WEDNESDAY, MAY 23rd for several key CoSIDA Board of Directors leadership positions. These terms will begin in June during the annual convention.
Your opportunity to serve on the CoSIDA Board awaits! We are looking for members who are interested in the opportunity to provide their thoughts, ideas, initiatives and expertise and who are willing to serve as a voice for your colleagues.
There are five open positions; one, the third vice-president position; and, four at-large board positions, each for three-year appointments. There are two university division at-large positions and two college at-large positions available, and any current CoSIDA members from the USA and Canada may apply, as these are not tied to a geographical area.
We hope you consider this opportunity, or suggest/nominate a colleague whom you know would be a great fit for our board and our membership. It is a truly rewarding experience as you help shape policies and programs for CoSIDA and help our members in professional development, networking and enhancing their skills.
Nominations are open for the following positions for the 2018-19 CoSIDA Board, which will convene for the first time on June 30 at the final day of the 2018 CoSIDA Convention. (Note: you do not have to be in attendance at the convention to fill one of these positions).
3rd Vice President - (no geographic designation)
Serves a five-year term on the board (years of being 3rd VP, 2nd VP, 1st VP, President, then Past President) with specific assignments each year. Your commitment includes two conference calls per month, two additional days of meetings at the CoSIDA Convention, a summer meeting at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis, a mid-year meeting at the NCAA Convention, and involvement as committee liaison as well as projects and special duties to be determined.
College Division Representatives (2 available) - both are at-large positions, with no geographical designations
College division members of the Board of Directors shall be elected at the annual meeting of the Association and shall represent institutions which are not classified as Division I in either football or basketball. College division members of the Board may be elected to three-year terms.
At-Large Representatives (2 available)
At-large members shall come from the membership as a whole, and must be fully qualified members of the Association. At-large members may be elected to a three-year term.

Selections are made during the CoSIDA convention in Natonal Harbor, Maryland on Tuesday, June 26, with the new board announced and approved at the annual CoSIDA Business Meeting conducted during the convention on June 29.
