The National Football Foundation wanted to make sure that you did not miss the nomination window, which closes Friday, August 31, for the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Awards and the Campbell Trophy. Since 1959, the honor has always been among the most prestigious awards in college athletics.

Nominations are open to candidates from all levels of play in the NCAA and NAIA and require a 3.2 GPA or better and for the student-athlete to be a significant contributor on the team in their final year of eligibility. Please find the links to the forms (PDF) above.

Last year, the NFF expanded the impact of the award by establishing The Campbell Trophy Summit, which all semifinalists may attend, creating a list of benefits for nominees that include:

  • An opportunity to receive an $18,000 post-graduate scholarship, which is awarded to each of the 12-14 finalists for the Campbell Trophy.
  • An opportunity to travel to New York City for the NFF Annual Awards Dinner and to be honored alongside the 2018 College Football Hall of Fame Class.
  • An opportunity to be the winner of the coveted 24-pound bronze Campbell Trophy, which comes with a $25,000 post-graduate scholarship and an appearance on the Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN.
  • An opportunity to win a $5,000 donation to support your school’s academic services department.
  • A guaranteed spot at the 2019 Campbell Trophy Summit, sponsored by Intuit, which includes leadership workshops, panels, a career fair, and networking opportunities with Silicon Valley CEOs and entrepreneurs. Click to watch a video to learn more.
