Nominations Now Accepted For Vacant Board and Third VP Positions

To All CoSIDA Members:

Your opportunity to serve on the CoSIDA Board awaits! We are looking for members who are interested in the opportunity to provide their thoughts, ideas, initiatives and expertise and who are willing to serve as a voice for your colleagues.

Nominations are now open THROUGH FRIDAY, MAY 10th for several key CoSIDA Board of Directors leadership positions. These terms will begin in June during the annual convention.

Nominations are open for the following positions for the 2019-20 CoSIDA Board, which will convene for the first time on June 12 at the final day of the 2019 CoSIDA Convention at the Orlando World Center Marriott. (Note: you do not have to be in attendance at the convention to fill one of these positions).

For the at-large positions, any current CoSIDA members from the USA and Canada may apply, as these are not tied to a geographical area.

 
3rd Vice President - (no geographic designation)
Serves a five-year term on the board (years of being 3rd VP, 2nd VP, 1st VP, President, then Past President) with specific assignments each year. Your commitment includes two conference calls per month, two additional days of meetings at the CoSIDA Convention, a summer meeting at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis, a mid-year meeting at the NCAA Convention, and involvement as committee liaison as well as projects and special duties to be determined.
 
College Division Representatives (2 available) - Southeast Region position; West Region position
College division members of the Board of Directors shall be elected at the annual meeting of the Association and shall represent institutions which are not classified as Division I in either football or basketball. College division members of the Board may be elected to three-year terms.

Which states/institutions are in the Southeast Region? Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia.

Which states/institutions are in the West Region? Alaska, Alberta, Arizona, British Columbia, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Saskatchewan, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Yukon Territory


At-Large Representatives (2 available)
At-large members shall come from the membership as a whole, and must be fully qualified members of the Association. At-large members may be elected to a three-year term.

Selections are made during the CoSIDA convention in Orlando, Florida, with the new board announced and approved at the annual CoSIDA Business Meeting conducted during the convention on Tuesday, June 11.
