This year’s 2019 CoSIDA U Camp, scheduled for Saturday, June 8, has been cancelled, due to low registration numbers.
The camp was scheduled to take place at the Southeastern University campus in Lakeland, Florida. The Camp was designed by sports information professionals to give current undergraduate and graduate students, interns and others interested in the profession the opportunity for professional development sessions and networking events.
The inaugural year of the CoSIDA U Camp was in 2018.
“Obviously, we are very disappointed that our registration numbers — with only a short time remaining in the registration process — dictate the need to cancel this event now,” said CoSIDA Executive Director Doug Vance. “We appreciate the involvement of all of those on the CoSIDA U Committee.
“CoSIDA is issuing full refunds to those who have registered for the event,” Vance added. “If travel plans already made require a fee for refunding, CoSIDA also will cover those extra refund fees for participants or those scheduled to present.”
