2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

CoSIDA will present a live streaming of the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Hall of Fame Induction Celebration on Monday, June 10 from the Orlando World Center Marriott - site of the 2019 CoSIDA convention. The CoSIDA Convention is held in conjunction with NACDA and Affiliates Convention Week.
The induction ceremony, in its 10th year, is open to all CoSIDA and NACDA convention attendees free of charge. The ceremony takes place from 5:30-7 p.m. Eastern at the World Center's Sago Ballroom.

Following the livestream, the Hall of Fame ceremony will then be on-demand on CoSIDA.com after the evening's event.
The four distinguished members of the
Google Cloud Academic All-America® Hall of Fame Class of 2019 are:
- Willie Bloomquist, a First Team All-America shortstop and 1999 Pac-10 Conference Baseball Player of the Year at Arizona State University who went onto a 14-year Major League Baseball career playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals and Cincinnati Reds. He is now in the front office for the Arizona Diamondbacks, serving as Special Assistant to D-backs President & CEO Derrick Hall.
- Louise Jandura, noted engineer in the NASA Mars Exploration Program and the Mars 2020 Sampling and Caching Subsystem Chief Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA who leads a team of 120 to design and build the sampling and caching system for the Mars 2020 Rover. She was a three-sport athlete in field hockey, basketball and softball for Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is MIT's only four-time Academic All-America honoree.
- Nicole Aunapu Mann, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Marine Corps, one of the most decorated women's soccer players in Patriot League history as a four-time First Team All-League selection and the conference's two-time defensive player at the U.S. Naval Academy who has gone onto an illustrious career in the United State Marine Corps, flying combat missions in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. She currently is a NASA astronaut, training for the first crewed flight of Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft;
- Greg Meredith, a record-setting All-America ice hockey standout, Rhodes Scholar semifinalist and NCAA Silver Anniversary Award recipient who starred for the University of Notre Dame prior to playing for the Calgary Flames in the NHL. Post-NHL, he has built a distinguished professional career in investment management with commitment to philanthropic causes and community involvement around education, domestic violence issues, and support for persons with intellectual disabilities.
Created in 1988, the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Hall of Fame recognizes former Academic All-Americas who received a college degree at least 10 years ago, have achieved lifetime success in their professional careers, and are committed to philanthropic causes. Each annual class is chosen by a committee comprised of CoSIDA leaders and former Academic All-America honorees.
Former Virginia Tech head football coach and College Football Hall of Famer
Frank Beamer, whose football program shined the national spotlight on the university and who has championed programs and fundraising as a powerful voice for children’s literacy, student-athlete scholarship funds and cancer research, is recipient of the
2019 Dick Enberg Award. The Enberg Award is presented annually at this Hall of Fame induction celebration to a person whose actions and commitment have furthered the meaning and reach of the Academic All-America® Teams Program and/or the student-athlete while promoting the values of education and academics.
The June 10th Hall of Fame induction ceremony will feature ESPN's Rece Davis as emcee. Ted Enberg, son of the late legendary broadcaster Dick Enberg who was the long-time ambassador of the Academic All-America® program, is special guest.
