The following links and highlight video are from the highly-successful 2019 CoSIDA Convention. Nearly 1,000 CoSIDA members attended the event at the Orlando World Center Marriott. Our convention featured 71 educational sessions - with 289 speakers and panelists - along with five social events and four awards presentations (a CoSIDA Hall of Fame luncheon, Divisional Day Breakfast Awards and Presentation, Special Awards Luncheon and the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Hall of Fame Induction Celebration).

Congratulations to members of the 2019-20 CoSIDA Board of Directors. The new board members were voted on by the Nominating Committee on June 8 in Orlando and the membership approved the new slate of officers and board members at the annual CoSIDA business meeting on June 11. Herb Vincent, Associate Commissioner for Communications at the Southeastern Conference, will serve as 2019-20 CoSIDA President.

The Google Cloud Academic All-America® is on-demand at CoSIDA.com/watch, while the two luncheon awards ceremonies (June 10 and 12) and the breakfast awards (June 11) can be found on CoSIDA's Facebook page.

During the Convention, attendees heard from a variety of national presenters on the topics of motivation and productivity (Eric Papp), emotional/mental health (Dr. Jarrod Spencer), diversity and inclusion with a high-energy presentation and challenge (Dr. Derek Greenfield) and writing and editing (Dawn Dugle).

The CoSIDA Board of Directors announced the formation of the June Stewart Education and Leadership Series as part of CoSIDA's year-round professional development and continuing education outreach. This series is named in honor of the late June Stewart, CoSIDA's first female president who served the organization while at Vanderbilt University. The special June Stewart Series will showcase noted speakers and experts who will address CoSIDA members on timely communications and leadership topics and issues. More to come on this developing Series concept.


See the video recap from the CoSIDA Goodwill and Wellness Committee recapping the annual CoSIDA/NACDA 5k run/walk which attracted a record 280 participants, and the annual CoSIDA convention community service project which featured CoSIDA volunteers working with Samaritan's Feet for a shoe distribution to young children at Frontline Outreach in Orlando. All proceeds from the run/walk went to Frontline Outreach. Watch the video

This donation of over $5,000 was supplemented by the fundraising efforts of Young CoSIDA at its #YCCharitySocial. The YC social event raised a one-year record $7,999 for Samaritan's Feet and Frontline Outreach. In 11 years of hosting a charity event at the site of CoSIDA's annual convention, YC raised more than $37,000 for these CoSIDA-recognized charities,
