2020 CoSIDA Membership Survey Survey – Step 1: Update Your CoSIDA Member Profile
Survey data will help CoSIDA members as they consider additional resources, staffing and compensation.
In response to requests from members and as part of our advocacy efforts, the CoSIDA Board of Directors approved the development of a comprehensive membership salary survey during 2020. CoSIDA is working with Athlete Viewpoint, a cutting-edge research and technology firm, to formulate content and distribute this to our members in early February 2020.
CALL TO ACTION
The most important thing you can do is to make sure your CoSIDA profile is as up-to-date as possible, including title, email address and institution before January 24. Why? It’s important to complete this step to ensure that you receive the email to be able to participate in the survey. Those who do not have correct info in their profile may not be able to participate.
To update your profile, follow these steps:

Go to CoSIDA.com and click on Profile (top right corner of the home page). If you are already logged in, you will be taken straight to your profile. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so. Note: If you have forgotten your password, use the "Click here to reset your password." option on the login screen.

On the Overview page, confirm your affiliation, membership status and primary email address (see screen shot below).

Under the Account tab, click on Personal Info to update title and demographics.

Under the Account tab, click on Contact Info to update mailing address, phone number and primary email address if necessary.
Note: You are unable to change your affiliation so if it is incorrect, or you need assistance with making updates, contact Laurie Bollig at lauriebollig@cosida.com.
At minimum, make sure the information designated by red arrows below is correct. While you're there, consider clicking on the "Account" tab and fully completing your profile. Having a complete profile helps CoSIDA better serve you.
The effectiveness of this project will depend largely on the participation of our members. Please complete step one today and update your membership profile to ensure that you can be part of this important project. Step two will be to take the survey in February, and step three will be to review the results when CoSIDA makes them available to determine how to best utilize this information to enhance your current position/department.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and will cover important data regarding member salary, compensation, benefits, staff size, sport sponsorship and roles within the athletics communications department specifically and in the athletics department in general.
In accordance with our privacy policy, only your email address will be shared with Athlete Viewpoint, and they will only use it for the purpose of this project.
The data collected will allow CoSIDA members to filter information that most aligns with their current employment situation, resulting in benchmark information that can be helpful when requesting additional staff, resources or compensation.
