Sign up for the 2020 CoSIDA/NACDA 5K Fun Run/2 Mile Walk
See CoSIDA's current statement on the status of the #CoSIDA2020 Convention.
First launched in the Spring of 2018 as an effort by the Goodwill and Wellness Committee to promote a healthy lifestyle and create a fun and supportive program around health and wellness, the CoSIDA Fitness Challenge — a FREE initiative available to all CoSIDA members — returns in 2020.
This program is meant to inspire all of us through these trying times. Sign up to take part, keep motivation high, and share your story. It's a free inspirational campaign to keep all of us moving forward. When you register, you'll be linked with others through a variety of ways, and we'll all be rallying together to keep spirits high and to keep all of us accountable to our goals. You got this!
The 2020 CoSIDA Fitness Challenge, open to all CoSIDA members, will start on
Monday March 30 and go through Sunday June 7.
How It Works
- Sign up. Join our Strava and Facebook groups. More information below.
- Run. Walk. Keep moving. Through the CoSIDA Fitness Challenge, you can download free training plans if you need them. Or you can stick to your current routine. What matters is that we all stay active.
- Socialize. Social distancing is important right now. So is remaining social. Let's all lean on one another using the tools at our disposal — from social media to Strava mileage logs — to communicate and support one another.
- Support. We will be sending out CoSIDA Fitness Challenge coaching emails. These will share all of our stories. They'll provide tips to keep you going. They'll hold us all accountable, because the world isn't stopping and we need to move.
Be Part of a Team
Send an email to Jeremy Rosenthal (jr359@indiana.edu) with your name and school and you will be placed on a team. Team captains will send out encouraging e-mails and teams will compete against each other in this fun challenge.
Connecting All of Us
As we lean on one another for support, the CoSIDA community has a few options set up for you to use in order to stay linked with everyone.
- Strava: Strava is an online running & walking log where you can interact with other users. Create a free account and join the CoSIDA Fitness Challenge group at https://www.strava.com/clubs/cosidafitnesschallenge Post your workouts. Friend others. Share comments. Let's keep the community alive & strong.
- Facebook: Join the CoSIDA Fitness Challenge Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/CoSIDAFitnessChallenge/ Share your pics, your runs, your walks and what you are doing to stay fit.
- Instagram & Twitter: Use #CoSIDAFit on your posts about running and walking and exercising and let's share as many of our uplifting, positive moments as we can.
- Motivational Email: We'll be sending out motivational emails through this program, keeping you up to date on inspirational stories and sharing updates.
Incentives: We all need something to look forward to right now. The team competition will give us something fun to do. Virtual awards will also be sent for reaching various fitness levels.
