Content Creation & Idea Sharing: How to adapt your content and digital strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic.


In this webinar, we heard from the four presenters below - from large and small schools - on strategies, techniques and examples of content they are using and doing during the COVID-19 crisis.

Hundreds of you joined the webinar, and we appreciate all the questions, too! The presenters focused on what this pandemic and crisis is teaching us about our content creation and marketing and how we can best work with our colleagues, using strategies and tools to demonstrate and emphasize the value that SIDs deliver to their organizations. They focused on:

  • The importance of having a staff strategy and an athletic department strategy, along with a focus of how you, as the athletic communiicatioins professional, works closely campus-at-large while creating content and driving engagement of fans, alumni, student-athletes and administrators
  • Examples of conten creation (graphics, video, story-telling) were shared by all presenters
  • The question of how best to collaborate and brand with colleagues on your campus/in your conference office when we are all working remotely was touched upon
  • Strategies, examples and questions to ask where shared when promoting your athletic programs with limited (or no) access to coaches and student-athletes
