CoSIDA Mentorship Program: Get Ready, Get Set, Go! Prepare for the 2020-21 program sign-ups.

Members of CoSIDA's Mentorship Committee — Shawn Medeiros, Hannah Bradley and Lindy Brown — give information on the upcoming 2020-21 mentorship program and share advice on important details to keep in mind when signing up for the program, including preferences for division, experience, gender or location of a mentor or mentee. Program participants Mex Carey and Taylor Garcia share their experiences of being paired together in 2019-20, including what worked for them with regard to communication and how each grew in their jobs and careers as a result of the relationship.
Mentorship Program
- Started in 2015-16 as an initiative of 1st VP Andy Seeley
- Almost 500 mentor/mentee matches made in the first five years of the program
- Member-only benefit
- Mentorship Committee added in 2019-20 for oversight of the program
2020-21 Timeline
- June 1-July 31: Sign-ups for mentors and mentees on CoSIDA.com
- August: Pairings will be made and communicated when complete
- September: Official kickoff for the program
