Sign-up forms are available now through July 31 for CoSIDA members to participate in the 2020-21 mentorship program. To sign up to be a mentor, a mentee or both, visit
CoSIDA Upcoming Events.
In August, the Mentorship Committee will work to make the pairings and communicate those to members. The use of Zoom meetings is being considered for networking and to assist with the pairings. Pairings will be communicated throughout the summer and a kickoff event will be held in September.
Preferences are requested on the sign-up form for division, geographic location, gender, experience level and communication methods. Every attempt will be made by the committee to create the best pairing for participants, but CoSIDA cannot guarantee that all preferences will be met.
Although the program does not have strict requirements for the participants, it is expected that mentors and mentees will establish a consistent communication throughout the academic year. Members of the Mentorship Committee will check in with pairings on a regular basis to ensure the goals of each person are being met.
The mentorship program is a benefit of CoSIDA membership. Close to 500 CoSIDA members have participated in the program in the first five years of its existence.
