SIDs know how to "beat the drum" for their student-athletes and coaches, but what about for themselves? Pil K. Frits, professor at the University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business, discusses how to be your own best personal and professional advocate. He will discuss how you can negotiate successfully for yourself with strategies and tips (negotiate for a job offer, salary increase, staff increases, time flexibility, more benefits, personal gains, etc.) and how to truly understand the other party's wants, needs and motivations.

In 2019, Pils was appointed as one of the University's first two Provost Fellows, spending 40 percent of his time at the Provost's office, serving on the cabinet and working on faculty development issues, promoting diversity, strengthening research and teaching in the University and data research.

Presenter:
Dr. Frits K. Pil, University of Pittsburgh Professor of Organization and Entrepreneurship and Director of Instructional Innovation and Faculty Development, Katz Graduate School of Business
Moderator: E.J. Borghetti, University of Pittsburgh Executive Associate Athletic Director/Media Relations/CoSIDA Advocacy Committee  @PittBorghetti

IMPORTANT NOTE: By request of our presenter Dr. Pil, this webinar will be offered LIVE ONLY. There will NOT be an on-demand viewing option and there will NOT be a podcast generated from the webinar.
