2022 CoSIDA U Virtual Camp 
Tuesday and Wednesday, June 7-8

Registration deadline: Monday, June 6 at Noon (ET)

CoSIDA U programming is designed for students, interns and newcomers to the athletic communications/sports information profession. This will be the fourth year for these learning and networking workshops (2018 in-person, 2020 and 2021 online), This year’s programming will take place online Tuesday and Wednesday, June 7-8. This year, two afternoon sessions take place on June 7; the first session focuses on the essential skills and duties of being an athletic communicator (1 PM Eastern), followed by a roundtable discussion with CoSIDAU alumni (2:30 PM) and how the CoSIDAU program assisted their career efforts.

On Wednesday afternoon, three sessions are scheduled. Focused on content creation and technology/software training. Following a 1 PM Eastern general session on creative content, Zoom breakouts follow (2-3:10 PM) where attendee can do hands-on training with Adobe Suite software. The final session, Finding Connections (3:30 PM), will help you find the best ways to network and connect with others in the college athletics communications field – and beyond.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM What is Athletic Communications? What is a SID? The View From Inside and Out
Learn the basics of the athletic communications field from those who know it best. Hear from those in the profession as well as others that SIDs served on a day-to-day basis.

Understanding and utilizing technology and software is a huge part of the SID job. Hear from those in the field and how the Adobe Creative Suite software aids us in our roles. There will be a general discussion followed with interactive breakout sessions on the most popular Creative Suite programs (Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom, InDesign, Adobe Premiere/Adobe Audition).
