Today you will receive a link via email to cast your vote on the unanimous recommendation from the Executive Board of Directors to change the name of the organization to
College Sports Communicators. All votes must be submitted by 11:59 PM (Eastern) when the voting form will close.
If you do not receive an email by 9 AM (Eastern), first check your spam folder. If you did not receive the email,
please contact a member of the CoSIDA national staff immediately to be sent the link.
The vote to change the name is the culmination for four years of work to better position the organization for the future, and establish a needed new brand perception. It builds on previous initiatives including the modernized governance structure to provide more leadership opportunities in every division and the new inclusive All-In membership model to open our organization up to all communicators in college athletics.

The vote today is on the name only and our bylaws require a minimum of 10% of the membership to participate. Of those who vote, the recommendation will need 60% to vote in favor for it pass. Pending the outcome of the vote on the new name, the creative process will begin with partners Joe Bosack & Co. to develop the new identity and the new brand will roll out over the course of the fall.

What: Membership vote to approve the Executive Board of Directors’ recommendation to change the organizational name to College Sports Communicators
When: Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022 — 9:00 AM - 11:59 PM (Eastern)
Who: All dues-paying 2021-22 and 2022-23 CoSIDA members
How: Electronic form delivered via direct email on the morning of Aug. 31. The form will be accessible on both computers and mobile devices and sent to all the above members prior to Aug. 31.
Important:
- Only 2021-22 and 2022-23 dues-paying members may vote
- Each member may only vote once
- Identifying information will be required on the form to confirm member status
- Any member who does not receive the email with the voting link by 9:00 AM (Eastern) on Aug. 31 should contact a CoSIDA staff member immediately to request the link.
