CSC Members:
College Sports Communicators is seeking qualified and dedicated individuals who are interested in serving in a leadership role on the Executive Board of Directors for the 2024-25 academic year and beyond.
There are two positions open for 2024-25 Executive Board service: CSC's
Third Vice President in the officers rotation and an
At-Large Representative on the Board.
The Third VP position and the At-Large Representative position are open to any current CSC member from any area of the U.S. or Canada. Advocate, retired, undergraduate student and honorary members are not eligible to serve in an Executive Board of Directors position.
Serving on CSC's Executive Board of Directors is a prominent leadership opportunity within the athletic communications and creatives profession. We are looking for members from all divisions who have passion for our profession to serve CSC and give back to the profession in a significant way.
Applications for the Third VP and At-Large Representative positions will be reviewed by the CSC Nominating Committee, which is comprised of past presidents and those whose board positions will end in June 2024. Candidates for Third VP may be requested to participate in a Zoom interview with the Nominating Committee.
The Nominating Committee then will present a proposed slate of Board members for 2024-25 to the Executive Board of Directors in mid-May, with a membership vote to be held during the association’s annual online business meeting in late May.
Open Executive Board position for 2024-25 and beyond
Any current CSC members from the U.S. and Canada may apply, as these two positions are not tied to a geographical area. Advocate, retired, undergraduate student and honorary members are not eligible to serve in an Executive Board of Directors position.
3rd Vice President
Serves a five-year term on the board (years of being 3rd VP, 2nd VP, 1st VP, President, then Past President) with specific assignments each year. Your commitment includes two conference calls per month, additional days of meetings at the annual CSC UNITE Conventions, a potential summer meeting at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis, a mid-year meeting at the annual NCAA Convention, and involvement as committee liaison as well as projects and special duties to be determined.
At-Large Representative
At-Large Executive Board members shall come from the membership as a whole, and must be fully qualified members of the Association. At-large members will be elected to serve a two-year term.
