2020 Compensation & Career Satisfaction Survey

In partnership with the CSC Advocacy Committee, College Sports Communicators will be conducting two major member surveys in February 2025 to assist members and member institutions with benchmark industry data to help make decisions and advocate for themselves and their departments.
These surveys will provide members and member institutions valuable industry data related to salary, resources, career satisfaction and much more. To make this data as accurate and valuable as possible we need ALL communicators and creatives to participate.
"Advocating for our members and the athletics communications profession is a hallmark of CSC," said CSC Interim Executive Director
Will Roleson. "The information collected in these surveys will enable us to use data to track trends and provide talking points for CSC and for our members' personal advocacy efforts. The more responses we have, the better the information we will be able to share this spring with our members and those who supervise communications and creative departments. We encourage all members to take a few moments to complete the surveys."
Leading up to the surveys, all members are also asked to update your personal CSC profile by logging on at
CSCommunicators.com/Profile. Make sure your information is up-to-date and your demographic information on the "Account" tab is complete.
Make sure everyone at your institution has been added to your All-In membership to ensure they are included. For help updating your staff roster, contact

About the two surveys:
The first survey will be the
2025 CSC Member Institution Communications Staff Research Survey, delivered to account custodians or department heads.
- Delivered via email to CSC account custodians or department heads on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
- This survey is for schools only.
- ONE person from each institution should complete this survey — either the department head or their designee. The survey respondent should be knowledgeable about the institution's budget, recent staffing history, and communications/creative department resources.
- Questions in this survey are about your institution and how your communications and creative departments operate.
- Individuals who complete this survey should also complete the second survey, as they are completely different questions.
- This survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete.
The second survey is the 2025 CSC Compensation & Career Satisfaction Survey for all members.
- Delivered via email to ALL members on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
- This survey is for ALL CSC members. Every member should complete this survey.
- Questions in this survey are related to individual members and their personal careers.
- This survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete.
The deadline for responses to both surveys is March 9. Those who opt in at the end of the survey will have the opportunity to win a $100 Amazon gift card.
