College Sports Communicators names Jason Yaman as new executive director
Jason Yaman (YAY-man), a 23-year veteran within college athletics and sports communications, has been named the next executive director of College Sports Communicators (CSC). Yaman most recently served as associate commissioner of The Southern Conference. He becomes the fourth executive director in the organization’s history.
He will assume his leadership role with CSC on March 10. Click here to read the full release.
Compensation & Career Satisfaction Survey - deadline Feb. 28, 2025
In partnership with the CSC Advocacy Committee, CSC is asking for your participation to complete our 2025 Career Satisfaction & Communications Industry Member Surveys. The first survey is the 2025 CSC Member Institution Communications Staff Research Survey, and was delivered to account custodians / department heads. The second survey is the 2025 CSC Compensation & Career Satisfaction Survey for all members. The deadline for responses to both surveys is Friday, Feb. 28, 2025.
Those who opt in at the end of the survey will have the opportunity to win a $100 Amazon gift card. Only one response per school will be required for the institutional survey. Click here to complete the individual survey.

2024-25 Creative & Digital Design Contest
CSC announces new offerings and updated rules for 2024-25 Creative & Digital Design Contest. Some of the enhancements and highlights this year include: transition of contest into new awards portal (same portal as Academic All-America), new contest for Video Portfolio of the Year, entry limits for general contests, expansion of non-gameday graphics into three categories, and continued emphasis on recognizing the best work in every division.
Portfolio contest winners will be announced live on stage at #CSCUnite25. Application deadlines: “Portfolio” contests - April 7 at Midnight (ET); General contests - May 4 at Midnight (ET). Click here to learn more and submit your work.
