Beginning in August 2015, CoSIDA began a monthly continuing education series, presented by Capital One.
See the continuing ed programming schedule below for the 2016-17 academic year, with a minimum of one webinar per month scheduled through May 2017.

Following every session, the webinars will be available on-demand in our CoSIDA Connect online community (membership only community), and will be accompanied by a full transcript, courtesy of ASAP Sports, CoSIDA's Official Instant Transcript Provider.
Coordinating our live webinar/conference call continuing education program for 2016-17 is the CoSIDA Continuing Education Committee and CoSIDA 3rd Vice President Herb Vincent (Southeastern Conference Associate Commissioner/Communications). The Continuing Education Committee is chaired by Clark Teuscher, North Central College Sports Information Director and the co-chair is Jeff Schwartz, North Dakota State Senior Associate Director of Athletic Communications.

Career Transitions, Job Searches and More: call will be held in conjunction with CoSIDA's Job Seekers Committee
Crisis and Disaster Communication Planning; topics include instructing senior institutional staff in the proper usage and management of social media accounts during a crisis; the role SIDs can play even when a situation might not directly affect athletics
Evolving Function of Writing in the Profession; topics include: how to arrange publication priorities as our audiences become more mobile; traditional writing for print vs. writing online content; other methods that have emerged for the writing of recaps & features, including infographics and other more visual-oriented options; long form writing for features
Preparing for the 2017 Orlando Convention
Spring 2017 Social Media Trends and Issues; webinar hosted by New Media/ Committee; expanding our social media webinars this year due to the popularity and relevance of social media in our profession; topics TBA
The Importance of Networking; how to build and maintain relationships with contemporaries as well as teaching student workers to do the same; will partner with participants in CoSIDA Mentorship Program for this webinar
