Samaritan's Feet is a 501(c)(3) humanitarian aid organization that shares a message of hope and love through washing the feet of impoverished children around the world and adorning them with new shoes. There are an estimated 2.2 billion people worldwide living in poverty and more than 1.5 billion who suffer from foot borne diseases. Since its founding by Manny Ohonme in 2003, Samaritan's Feet and its team of ambassadors and partners have blessed more than five million children in more than 70 nations. They also have partnerships with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee).
“We are so grateful to partner with CoSIDA for the second year,” stated Manny Ohonme, founder of Samaritan’s Feet. “We at Samaritan's Feet are looking forward to serving together in Orlando and encouraging those in that community. Thank you CoSIDA for joining us as we make a positive difference together in the lives of many children and families,” added Ohonme.
CoSIDA volunteers will travel to downtown Orlando on Tuesday morning to Frontline Outreach to participate in a basketball skills camp and provide new shoes to nearly 300 kids.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Samaritan’s Feet at the 2017 CoSIDA Convention in Orlando,” said Chris Mitchell, chair of the CoSIDA Goodwill and Wellness Committee, and Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications at Washington University in St. Louis. “Our volunteers are looking forward to a fun-filled day on the court, and the opportunity to share our love for the sport and to give back to the Orlando community.”

About
At each CoSIDA Convention, the Goodwill and Wellness Committee organizes a community service project that benefits a charity or non-profit organization in the host city. The service project is open to any CoSIDA and NACDA and Affiliates convention attendees to participate in.
In the beginning of this annual tradition the committee also held a donation drive during CoSIDA Convention registration (2010-15) where they would collect donations, such as clothing and toiletries, for the local charity.
