Career Planning and Assessment
Thursday, February 15, 2018

Watch On-Demand and ASAP Sports full transcript (Member only)

Discussion points: Career changes are very often life-changing events, and can be influenced by any number of factors - Is it the right time to move? How do you know you're making the right decision? Is it worth considering a transition to a career outside of communications? What do athletic administrators look for in an athletic communications job applicant, and how can SIDs distinguish themselves from the pack when applying for a job?

Two athletic communications professionals (Coiro and Kobylanski) and University of Florida AD Stricklin — who started his career as an SID — have grappled with all of these variables and they discussed them at length while answering audience questions.

In addition, Kobylanski offered information about how CoSIDA's Job Seekers Committee assists our members with these issues.
