Setting a New Vision for the future of College Sports Communicators

Introducing the College Sports Communicators Logo

“We are an association on the move. The unveiling of our new logo is the next step in our new brand identity for our association. Going forward, our main focus remains on providing our members with expanded professional development, member benefits, leadership and networking opportunities as we continue to position CSC as a leader in collegiate athletics.” – Jessica Poole, 2022-23 CSC President

Jan. 3, 2023 — After officially rebranding to its new name College Sports Communicators (from College Sports Information Directors of America, CoSIDA) in September 2022, CSC takes the next step in its new branding identity with the introduction of a new organizational logo and new marks for its Academic All-America® program.

As the national association for athletic communications, media relations, sports information, digital and creative professionals throughout all levels of intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada, CSC is unveiling its new logos to visually represent our identity and reflect the organization’s forward momentum and growth.

In 2022, CoSIDA pursued an association rebrand to include a new name and logo to reflect both the evolution of the organization as well as its vision for the future. The rebranding vision includes three primary components and will require leadership and membership to be "All-In" as we reshape our future.
  1. The development of the All-In Membership model beginning in 2022-23
  2. The exploration of a new visual identity and name (partnership with Joe Bosack & Co. announced Feb. 23, 2022)
  3. Creating a pro-growth direction for the organization through the development and enhancement of relevant programming to support our membership. (ongoing)
Changing the name of the organization requires a CoSIDA constitutional change, including a membership vote. A membership-wide vote was conducted via an electronic form on Aug. 31, 2022, with the unanimous recommendation of the Executive Board to rename the organization to College Sports Communicators passing with 60% of 1,235 voters approving.

Once the new name is approved, the logo development process would follow. A logo change does not require a membership vote. Read below for more on this exciting initiative.
