Who We Are:
Black College Sports Communicators (BCSC) is the evolution of Black College Sports Information Directors Association (BC-SIDA). Founded by the late Eric Moore, BC-SIDA started in the mid-1970s out of the CoSIDA (now College Sports Communicators) annual convention. Moore officially served as BC-SIDA Executive Director from 2001 until his passing in 2022. The spirit of Mr. Moore and the BC-SIDA founders lives on in this next chapter of a community designed to support, celebrate and amplify Black communication and creative professionals, allies and advocates working in and connected to college athletics.

What We Do:
BCSC creates a space targeting Black communicators and creatives at colleges & universities, conference offices and associations & organizations at all levels and communicators and creatives at historically Black colleges & universities, conference offices and associations & organizations to fellowship, further their professional goals and cultivate ways to raise the profile and standards of the athletics communications profession in and around college athletics.

How We Do It:
BCSC holds periodic connection opportunities, virtually and in-person, for communicators and creatives across the country to learn, share and grow via webinars, panels, professional development sessions and social gatherings.

How To Connect:
