Kevin Ruple was inducted into the CoSIDA Hall of Fame during the 2008 convention in Tampa, Florida. Ruple was a winner of CoSIDA's Warren Berg Award in 2004, 25-Year Award in 2009 and Lester Jordan Award in 2011. He served on the CoSIDA Board of Directors as a College Division Representative from 1996-97 to 1998-99. He served on the Academic All-America® from 1997-2017.
A native of Ashtabula, Ohio, Ruple began his professional career in August of 1982 as an intern in the Office of News Services at The College of Wooster, his alma mater. As a student at Wooster from the fall of 1979 through his senior year of 1981-82, Ruple worked for media relations legend George Richard. After six months of a 10-month internship at Wooster, Ruple accepted the SID job at BW.
