Barry Booker is a native of Franklin, Tenn., and 1989 graduate of Vanderbilt University. As a varsity basketball player at Vanderbilt, Barry received numerous honors including the Universitys award for most outstanding student athlete in 1989 and academic All-SEC.
He still holds the school and SEC records for career threeopoint field goal shooting at 46 percent. Barry went on to obtain his master's degree in finance from Vanderbilts Owen Graduate School of Management.
Currently, he is an executive with Wells Fargo Bank in Nashville and serves as a college basketball commentator on Fox Sports Net, Jefferson-Pilot Sports, 104.5 The Zone and various media outlets. He is active in several volunteer organizations including as a trustee for Battle Ground Academy, and formerly as a trustee for Vanderbilt University, and The Oasis Church among others.
Barry is the youngest of twelve children, all of whom are college graduates. A lifelong Middle Tennessee resident, Barry and his wife, Rena have two young children, Clay (2) and Bryan (1).
